ITV Yorkshire studio to close

I've heard that ITV's Yorkshire studio is closing down.

This will mean the end of Northern based shows like 'Heartbeat', however Emmerdale fans do not fear as the soap will not be leaving our screens just yet, as the programme has its own set and due to its popularity I doubt the company would have let it go.

This means that Granada Manchester will be the only North England studio for the company.

And incidentally this studio was where I once appeared in the audience of "Get your own back" Kids show, when I was eight.
Good times....

May you live in interesting times....

From an ancient Chinese curse.. "May you live in Interesting Times"

I believe we do

At a time of global financial difficulty and political uncertainty, times have never been so interesting.

Since the year 2000, when the threat of the millennium bug threatened to wipe our technological existence, to 2009 when the first African American president entered the White house. I can think of no time in the history of man that has had a largest pattern of activity.

The communists must be smirking now as our capitalist society crumbles into a recession, its a desperate time for the retail and leisure market.

As we see many people losing their livelihood it is truly the time to humble.

However as the ordinary Joe suffers for the incompetance of the fat cat, I beleive it should be the government's duty to take control of this terrible situation.

In America the hope of better future as Obama comes to power can be seen on the nation's faces. It's sad to say that Britian doesn't feel as secure, and with one blow after another our nation is crumbling. Rejected by Europe and resented by America, we stand alone to correct the mess we have made.

Interesting Times comes at a price, and though many will look back on this period of hsyteria in the history books we have to question, what brought us here?

I think many of us will know the answer to that.

A bad day

Today has been a bad day for me.

The shower still isn't working after two weeks of giving out a trickle of water.
The bank is doing unspeakable things to me to make my life a living hell.
I scared that I will fall back into bad habbits.
Although I do get back into control of my life, I can't imagine feeling this crap can be good for you.

Running out of answers and ideas.

Miss my friends,

feel generally shit.

Just have to go for one min at a time

my rabbit is digging

My rabbit is digging

She has been digging for two years and shows no signs of stopping

Despite the fact that her tiny paws will never get through the hard plastic of her cage, she keeps digging.

Although unbelievably annoying to me, I love the way my tiny friend will not give her bid for freedom.

And now at TWO AM, her quest has never been so urgent, or perhaps she has forgotten that she has attempted this move before, after all her brain is only the size of a wallnut at best.

I like to believe she knows what she's doing, that one day, I will come home to an empty cage and a small note (Yes, my rabbit can write):
"Digging my way to China, will send a postcard. May have hit a water pipe on the way down...my bad. All the best x"

Ah the joys of pet induced insomnia!

I would walk a thousand miles

I would walk a thousand miles…

I would walk a thousand miles

To be free of your cruel remarks

The judgemental smile

The hate in your face

Oh what a sad fall from grace!

I look at you.

I can see you despise yourself

I will feel pity for your sorry state

I will smirk at your arrogance

And see beyond your hate

I will turn and leave…

I will walk a thousand miles
And I won’t look back

Fashion is not a Luxury

Fashion is many things to many people

To most its a very personal reflection of how we see ourselves, it gives a quick identity without us ever needing to speak.
It is one of the most defining ways in which somebody will judge you.

With this in mind its easy to see why clothes shops are the biggest retailer on our streets. Millions of pounds poured into items that we believe will get us that dream job, or that good-looking stranger, or just make us feel good about ourselves. I'm sure we have all bought something for a reason more than it will simply keep me warm!

It would be very naive to still believe in this society that we shouldn't judge by appearances, as most TV adverts will tell you. In fact most people make a conscious decision about a person they have just met within the first 10 seconds of meeting them. And that judgement very rarely changes.

So the world of fashion is changing, once a simple idea or dare I say it, hobby, has become sociological tool with which we get through life by using. And with stores like 'Primemark' selling clothes a bottom prices: it is no longer acceptable not be dressed in the latest high-end fashion for the reason of cost.

This is why I believe that fashion is no longer a luxury
it is necessity.

So is it so wrong to judge a book by its cover?
